Future Plans + Celes Farewell Event

Hey everyone. Dropping by to let you know a few things.

Server Issue

Basically, the SQL server decided to kill a drive and it dropped one of the RAID arrays. I only recently got done with finals at school and came back home, so give me some time to sleep and take care of it. Should only take me a few hours, once I'm awake, to repair the database and put it back online.

Future Plans

Since Celes as a server is very sparsely populated nowadays, and donations are not coming in to cover the bills, it's time to announce the unfortunate and sad end of Azure L2.

Once I get the database back up and restart the server, I want to schedule a official farewell event for Celes and close down L2. It's been an awesome ride and I enjoyed working on the project and running the game. Sometimes L2 got in the way of my life and caused issues...but that's in the past and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has ever played here and those who supported the servers. This community wouldn't be anything without the players.

I do have some plans to keep the website/forums online, probably as a gaming community/forum, so don't expect the website to vanish and the domain to stop working. However, I need to work out the details before I announce anything further.

Sorry for the end, but once again, thanks so much to everyone and sorry I was unable to do this sooner. Once it was obvious L2 was done I went back to school full-time and focused on that instead.

Celes Farewell Event

I suppose a good day to do it would be Saturday, June 19, around 8 PM CET (GMT +1). Hope to see at least a couple people there, and if you don't have L2 installed anymore, at least post in this thread and say something.

Just a question, i know that no one can predict what the future but:
Are you done with L2 for good, or maybe there's a chance to get back on the horse in the future with a server?

Well, what to say, it was a pleasure to be part of your servers. I was playing l2 from DR (<3) and after that supreme/azure.
What you did for this community, and in world of private L2, was superb.
I had pleasure to play here, and i thank you for that.
